Google Workshop Series to help Small Businesses and Communities

America’s SBDC Iowa and Local Economic Development Groups Sponsoring Workshops

AMES, Iowa – America’s SBDC Iowa (SBDC) has teamed with Hancock County Economic Development, Lake Mills Chamber Development Corporation, Forest City Economic Development, Forest City Chamber of Commerce, Winn-Worth Betco, and Google to present Google workshops that will benefit North Iowa’s small businesses and communities.

Do you know what information shows up in a Google search of your small business, or small businesses in your community? Consumers are looking for what small businesses and communities offer, and they’re increasingly looking online. Businesses that have complete business information online are TWICE as likely to be considered reputable by consumers. These workshops will help small businesses and their communities get online so they are easier to find. The first part of the workshop is informational, and the second part of the workshop is hands-on to make sure your business information is current and up to date – so your small business shows up when people search for it. When you leave this workshop, your Google information will be complete.

Two FREE workshops will be offered from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in:

Attendees should bring a laptop computer or mobile device to the workshops because a limited number of laptops will be available. For more information or to register, contact Teresa Nicholson, Winn-Worth Betco, at 641-592-0800 and please leave a voicemail if necessary.
