LMCDC Board of Directors meet on the first Monday of the month at the LMCDC office. Meetings have been conducted digitally in the light of the pandemic.

Angie Thompson
Project Coordinator at WCTA
Angie has worked at WCTA since the fall of 2017.
She grew up in Lake Mills, moving away after high school. After 21 years away, she returned to the community with her family.
The Thompsons enjoy traveling in their free time.
Angie joined the LMCDC Board of Directors in January of 2019.

David Taft
Retail Manager, MBT Bank
David Taft began his career with MBT Bank in 2017, joining the chamber shortly after to keep the bank connected with community events as well as to help support the community and businesses in ways beyond his duties at MBT Bank.
"I think the chamber plays an important role in supporting local business and the community as a whole," said David.
David enjoys traveling, attending local sports events, and, of course, spending time with his wife and daughters.
David joined the LMCDC Board of Directors in
January of 2018.

Anna Stene
Owner, Uptown Boutique
Anna and her husband, Ben, live in Lake Mills with their son, Jorah, and two mini-goldendoodles. Ben is an electrician for Groe Electric and Anna is a high school teacher in Forest City . They enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, and playing games.
Anna joined the LMCDC Board of Directors midterm in 2022.

Superintendent, Lake Mills Community School District
Chris joined the LMCDC Board in 2023.
I joined the Lake Mills Chamber Board because I believe strong communities and strong schools go hand in hand. A thriving school district helps build a strong community, and a strong community provides the support, opportunities, and partnerships that help our schools and students succeed.
As superintendent of Lake Mills Community School District, I see every day how closely our schools are connected to the community we serve. Our businesses, organizations, families, and schools all have a role in making Lake Mills a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
I wanted to be part of the Chamber because I believe in Lake Mills and want to help maintain the strong connections between our schools, businesses, and community. When we work together, we create more opportunities for our students, support local businesses, attract families, and build a community where people want to stay and invest in their future.

Jackie joined the LMCDC Board of Directors in 2021.

Heather Yeoman
Co-Owner, Rayfeather
Heather Yeoman is the Co-Owner of Rayfeather Studio, an instructor and Co-Owner of Lake Mills Jazzercise, and a certified yoga instructor. She is also a founding board member and President of The Lake Mills Switchboard and serves as a Professor of Communications at Waldorf University. Through her diverse experience in education, wellness, entrepreneurship, and community leadership, Heather brings valuable insight and a strong commitment to supporting the Lake Mills community and its continued growth.
Heather moved to Lake Mills in 2007, started Jazzercise in the fitness center her first month here. That grew into Uptown Fitness, then Rayfeather Studio (celebrating 20 years in 2027). She. raised her three children, Nathaniel, Nicholas and Erica here.

Cathy Bernhard
Insurance Agent, Winnebago Insurance Agency
Cathy started with WIA on January 1, 2004 and is licensed to write Personal, Commercial and Life Insurance. She is involved on the counsel board at St. Patrick's Church.
Cathy enjoys traveling and spending time with friends, her husband, 2 children, and 4 grand children in her spare time!

Julie joined the LMCDC Board of Directors in January of 2023.

Executive Director
Olivia Martin-King
Olivia joined the LMCDC as Executive Director in July of 2026.
Olivia grew up in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Fridley High School before moving to Iowa to attend Waldorf University, where she did cheerleading and pursued two Bachelor degrees in Political Science and Communications. After graduating, Olivia spent time interning at the Lake Mills Chamber and Corporation where she found her passion for working in the Chamber
Olivia is married to Nicholas Ackerman, who also attended Waldorf University and currently serves as the Head Assistant Mens Basketball Coach at Waldorf University.
Fun fact: Olivia can play several instruments and makes music!
