Lake Mills Park Crawl 2026
We are teaming up with the Lake Mills Parks & Rec Department to host a summer-long park crawl! Each week we will highlight a different park around Lake Mills; visitors have to find the "password" at the highlighted park each week for your chance to win a Family Pass to the Aquatic Center for next summer! Receive one entry for each park you visit during highlighted time and receive DOUBLE entries if you visit all 9 locations!
Week #1 - Arlington Veterans Park
Arlington Veterans Park is a must-see in Lake Mills each summer! Flags are up Memorial Day through Veterans Day. Pay tribute to our local military members and learn about the different components of the park through the QR Code walking tour: Winnebago County Freedom Rock, Sculptures, Flags, Honor Walls, Sherman Tank, and more!

Week #2: Family Circle
at Leonard Fjelstad Sports Complex
Family Circle Park at Leonard Fjelstad Sports Complex is home to modern playgound equipment, swings, large slide, and a walking path circling the playground. The path also has play road signage, a play grocery store, and play gas station for kids to learn about bike and road rules in a safe environment! The Leonard Fjelstad Sports Complex consists of 11.2 Acres, including 3 ballfields, batting cage, shelter house, bleachers and other public seating, large parking lot, and public restrooms.

Week #3 - Elevator Park
Elevator Park boasts a sunny set up of modern playground equipment with multiple slides and interactive components. You will also find swings, including a dual passenger swing perfect for parent and child or siblings / friends to enjoy together, basketball court, classic metal slide (watch out! It's fast!), shelter house, green space, and dirt ball field.

Week #4: Bandshell Park & Mini Golf Course
Bandshell & Mini Golf Park sit on 2.26 acres and includes an 18 hole mini golf course (10 handicap accessible holes), a sand volleyball court, bandshell area, 4 holes of the "front 9" Lake Mills Disc Golf Course, picnic tables, and proximity to Oakwood Park, skate park, pickle ball / tennis courts, and the Lake Mills Family Aquatic Center.

Week #5 - Popcorn Hill
Popcorn Hill isn't just the best winter sledding hill, it also provides 5.79 acres of green space - both shaded and sunny. You can also find the "Back 9" holes of the Lake Mills Disc Golf Course, and a gazebo with public seating.

Week #6: Oakwood Park
Oakwood Park is the heart of the community and provides 6.38 acres of shaded space below a canopy of beautiful, mature oak trees! The park has 2 reservable shelter houses, a little kids playground, older kids (9-12) playground, Lake Mills Family Aquatic Center, tennis courts, pickleball courts, skate park, public restrooms, 5 holes of the "front 9" Lake Mills Disc Golf Course, 2 permanent cornhole games, horseshoe pit, 3 outdoor charcoal grills, diggers, and classic merry-go-round! Equipment for tennis court, pickle ball courts, cornhole, and horseshoes can be checked out from the Lake Mills Family Aquatic Center.

Week #7 - Lions Park
Lions Park is a pocket park sitting on .62 acres. Enjoy playground equipment, swings, public seating, a shelter house, and outdoor grill along with new, growing shade trees!

Week #8: Kruggle Park
Kruggle Park is a .4 acre park on the east side of Lake Mills. This park hosts a musical flower installment, spring animal toys, digger, wild flowers, and shelter house!
